  We bought there for the beautiful old trees and being on the Dora Canal which I love. Advertises as 55 and older but appears to be just as many younger people as well. (Which explains the local crack dealer who occasionally visits the same two trailers in the park but hey, you can't get away from that anymore it seems). As to what others have posted, I have seen a couple of feral cats but they are hardly all over the place and don't get in the garbage. And visitors do NOT have to have a background check. Lol. Pets are allowed. There are many cat and bird owners in the park. Dogs are not allowed.
  I don't like the fact that after painting and making many improvements to the exterior after we moved in we were cited for having container flowers on the carport. They do love to issue their citations (except to the park employees who normally have the messiest properties in the park).
  I have friends who just bought at Tiki village and I was surprised at the low lot rent in a nicer park so you might check them out.
  But all that being said I still like the old Florida feel and natural beauty and am overall happy with the park.

  Just purchased waterfront here on Riverest Canal. Beautiful little "Old Florida" park. Very happy with this Park. Joyce is a terrific manager and there is a great maintenance crew. Overall best value for a waterfront Park in Lake County.
